mathleague.org sponsors a number of middle school contests that are held throughout the school year. The contests are structured in such a way that students will find the tests good preparation for the MATHCOUNTS chapter and state competitions to be held in the spring. Top-scoring students at qualifying meets held throughout the year will be invited to compete at the (INTER)2 SECT contest in March.
Membership: Becoming a mathleague.org member school allows us to communicate more effectively with your school and is a prerequisite to compete in the (INTER)2 SECT contest. In addition, member schools are allowed to administer the mail-in round of qualifying tests to students in their schools. Membership is free for middle schools for the 2016-2017 school year.
Hosting: Any teachers interested in hosting a local contest should contact us about hosting a contest at their school.
Participating: Schools wishing to participate in this year's contests should check the calendar for information on when and where the contests will be held.
Downloading sample tests: A free set of tests is available by email to anyone who signs up for our mailing list.
Purchasing tests for practice: Tests that have been released in previous years are for sale on our website. Go to the mathleague.org store to purchase these tests.
If your school is not already registered for the official MATHCOUNTS competition, make sure to get involved in that program. MATHCOUNTS can be found on the internet at www.mathcounts.org.
